Follow the steps below:
1) Building on your research skills from Module 2, conduct some preliminary research on successful public relations campaigns. Explore several PR cases, selecting the one case that most resonates with you. This could be a public relations effort from your childhood or from earlier this year. Be sure to select a PR case that worked well and that you have a strong connection to.
You will directly cite at least one source for your description of your chosen PR case.
2) Consider the Module 3 Knowledge Portal and Chapter 5 of our textbook, “Theoretical Underpinnings for PR.” Select one of the below public relations theoretical frameworks to apply to your selected case:
Patrick Jackson’s behavioral model (p. 112)
The six steps in the persuasion process described under the “Persuasion and Change” section (p. 114)
Robert Cialdini’s Five Elements of Persuasion (p. 118)
Earl Newsom’s Four Principles of Persuasion (p. 119)
The five persuasion strategies used by persuaders described on page 120
Which of these PR frameworks best explains the success of your chosen PR case?
You will directly cite the textbook for your selected PR theoretical framework.
3) Practice your communication skills by creating a narrated slideshow presentation! Using any slideshow tool of your choice—PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides, Canva, etc.—record your voice presenting over your slides.
Include all of the following elements in your presentation:
Introduction: Create a short introductory hook to capture your audience’s attention.
PR Case Overview: Explain your chosen public relations case. Provide a comprehensive overview of the campaign, its objectives, and the context in which it unfolded. Tell us why you selected this case for further analysis. What about the case resonated with you? Utilize large and clear visuals to enhance your audience’s understanding and engagement. Ensure that your audience gains a solid understanding of the case before moving into the persuasive analysis.
Persuasive Analysis: Transition to the next stage of your presentation by applying one of the above PR theoretical frameworks to your chosen PR case. Explain how the theoretical framework aligns with and helps interpret the persuasive appeal of the PR case. Use specific examples from the case to illustrate how elements of the chosen framework are evident in the campaign’s strategy and execution. Again, provide several slides with large, clear visuals to showcase examples from the campaign.
Conclusion: Create a short concluding final thought to end your presentation. Leave a memorable and lasting impression in your short conclusion!
Include at least two citations in your presentation as described in Step One and Step Two.
Finally can you also write me a script of what Im supposed to say in each slide because ill have to record it after you finish with it?
