A survey was administered to a total of 10,000 randomly selected people who live in North Carolina (Grand Total). The survey was about the quality of life of those living in the state of North Carolina.
One of the questions on the survey is “in what city are you currently living in?” The following are the frequencies for the number of people that responded to living in a specific city:
Raleigh = 2,135
Charlotte = 1,162
Greensboro = 986
Winston-Salem = 432
Durham = 3,100
Chapel Hill = 789
Asheville = 373
Missing (no response to this question) = 1,023
Create a table similar to Table 2.5 on page 41 of Hanneman’s Text. Follow the similar procedure for creating the table as I showed you on the Excel videos that I posted on canvas.
When creating the tables, make sure you have the data entered that is valid and also missing similar to the layout of Table 2.5. Use this table and my videos to layout your table in excel and values calculated. My videos for excel walk you through you the formulas.
Compute the valid frequency total, the grand frequency total (valid plus missing), all percent column data values (valid and missing), the total for the percent column (valid part total and the grant percentage total with the missing percentage value included), the valid percent column along with the column percentage total, and the cumulative percentages. Again, see table 2.5 in the text and your layout should be exactly the same way.
